1 Who we are

2 What we collect

• When you request a demo: your name, company, work email and, if you choose to give it, your WhatsApp number.
• When you use a Field Guide form: your name, email and company, and the answers you choose to give, such as your team size and the systems you use.
• When you email or message us: what you send us.
• This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Like any website host, our hosting provider records technical information, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

3 Why we use it

• To reply to you and arrange the demo you asked for.
• To send you the Field Guide results or updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To keep a record of our business conversations.
• We use it because you gave it to us for these purposes, or because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (section 11 of POPIA).
• We do not sell your personal information.

4 Who we share it with

• Netlify, Inc., a United States company that hosts this website and stores form submissions.
• Google, which provides our email (Google Workspace).
• We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
• Because these providers may store information outside South Africa, we rely on their written data-protection terms to provide an adequate level of protection, as section 72 of POPIA requires.

5 How long we keep it

• We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and then delete it.
• If you become a client, your Service Order and our Data Processing Terms apply instead.

6 Your rights

• You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to us using it. Email hello@veld.io.
• Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
• If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

7 Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, and only the people at Veld who need it can access it.

8 Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The version and date at the top of the page show when it last changed.
